You must log in on the command line (e.g. with PuTTY: http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/ ) as root and then install ISPConfig.
After ISPConfig has been installed, you can use it to create FTP accounts.

You can install ISPConfig's Squirrelmail package ( http://ispconfig.org/downloads/squirrelmail.pkg ) using ISPConfig's Update Manager (Management > Update Manager).

You must set the correct sender address in your email client (e.g. Squirrelmail).
