change the site admin broke all emails (some help please)

hi
i change the admin checkbox and all the emails stop working
i discover if i remove the user/email and then i create it again it work.


any idea???

Never seen this. the site admin is just a normal user, changing this setting does normally not affect the other user accounts of a site.
