View Full Version : SSHD slow on non-standard port

Hail.

Running Etch.
Has anyone seen sshd slow down *loads* when serving on a non22 port? Symptoms are almost totally unusable slowness - 5-10 updates on key echoing etc.

Port's I've tried are all >1024, but they're all slow. Switch back to 22 and it speeds up again (obv. after a kill -1) and then watch my auth.log grow..

I attach using the -p flag to ssh.

Has anyone else had this problem?

ThanksIA

Haven't had that problem yet. Maybe some kind of firewall issue?

Falko,
I'll check all the settings and report back.
