IP instead of domain?

Is it possible to setup ISPConfig so anyone can reach a clients websites via i.e "http://65.150.22.78/~testclient/" (or something like that) where user "testclient" created a website and 65.150.22.78 is the external ip of ISPConfig?

I.e. if I run ISPConfig whithout a registred domain name, or if a client or myself want to set up a test website but have not yet a domain

In the manual I read that the clientsite can be reached on "http://www.domain.tld/~testuser/" but I want to use the servers ip address instead.

No, that's not possible because ISPConfig creates name-based vhosts...

So if I create the domain "test.com" to the client "testclient" and the client "testuser" put his homepage on the server he should be able to reach the page via "http://www.test.domain/~testclient/" or "http://www.test.com/users/testclient/" even if the domain "test.com" doesent exist in Internet? Or must "testclient" first sign up for the domain "test.com"


I wonder because I want to test the server and learn my self how it works before I go any further.

The main website of domain is placed within the directory /web of the webspace and it can be visited via both http://www.test.com AND http://test.com. The user which has been marked as administrator has FTP access to the main this site within /web.

Also the other users (non-administrators) within the domain has their own webspace, within their user directory. For instance the user web1_user1 with emailadres info@test.com has his own site at http://www.test.com/~web1_user1 AND http://test.com/~web1_user1
(web1_user1, is just an example of a loginname).

With the current stable version of ISPConfig (2.2.18), e-mailusers are also FTP-users. FTP (only) users are not possible (yet) as they always have a mailbox.
