amavis autorestart

hi i have ubuntu drapper drake installed on my server all is runnig.

sometimes when amavis crash all mails stuck in the mail que and I must manualy restart amavis and postqueue -f to resend all mails

can I do something to tell amavis to restart when it crash?

Maybe you can use monit for it: http://www.howtoforge.com/server_monitoring_with_munin_monit_debian_etch

but first you should try to find out why the amavis is crashing.

not always a good solution to restart a services without knowing the problem
