I tried to update to the current version last night as I have done before.

Installation gets to " Preparing files. Please wait a moment... " and then does nothing. I let it sit for 8 hrs and still nothing.

When I try to start ispconfig I get this...

[root@ns1 /]# etc/init.d/ispconfig_server start
Starting ISPConfig system...
etc/init.d/ispconfig_server: line 45: /root/ispconfig/httpd/bin/apachectl: No such file or directory
etc/init.d/ispconfig_server: line 47: /root/ispconfig/php/php: No such file or directory
FreshClam is already running!
ISPConfig system is now up and running!

Not sure what's wrong. Maybe your hard drive is full? What's the output of df -h?

There should be backups of your old ISPConfig installation in /tmp from which you can restore your ISPConfig installation.

tmpfs 1.7G 0 1.7G 0% /dev/shm

And sorry there was no backup made that I can find.

Delete everything in the directory /home/admispconfig/ispconfig/temp/ except of the folder named webmail.

Then run:

mkdir /root/ispconfig

and unpack and run the ISPConfig setup script again.

I had already done that and did a fresh install of current version. Everything seems to be working, all sites and emails, but when logging into ispconfig it is just default with no websites, accounts, email, or users.

So it is now working again, all that remains is to update ipsconfig to reflect the server.
