I'm repeatedly getting this message in my system log.
Sep 27 16:18:59 web kernel: ata3.00: exception Emask 0x0 SAct 0x0 SErr 0x0 action 0x2 frozen
Sep 27 16:18:59 web kernel: ata3.00: cmd a0/00:00:00:00:20/00:00:00:00:00/a0 tag 0 cdb 0x0 data 0
Sep 27 16:18:59 web kernel: res 40/00:03:00:00:20/00:00:00:00:00/a0 Emask 0x4 (timeout)
Sep 27 16:18:59 web kernel: ata3: soft resetting port
Sep 27 16:18:59 web kernel: ata3.00: configured for PIO0
Sep 27 16:18:59 web kernel: ata3: EH complete
Is this a hardware error or something not configured properly in the Linux. Linux is Fedora Core 7, SATA drives with motherboard (MSI PM8PM-V) raid controller. Never installed any drivers for Linux for this as it saw the drives. Worked fine for couple of months, but now am getting error message all the time.
any ideas?
Thanks
john
