Hi Guys,
I have recently upgraded to 2.2.16. Upgrade was successful.
I see under tools you get a backup manager.
When i run the backup, i choose which domains (all) and leave the ticks by web, user & mysql.
I upload it to my ftp server in the same data centre.
All is good and i now have a backup of my server....
When I have a server crash... How do i use this backup to restore my data???

This backup contains only user website data and not the data to restore a crashed server. Have a loook at this thread if you want to know which data has to be backed up for server recovery:

Thanks Till,
Isn't there an easier way?? Like click backup all data,
Re-install Server, ISPConfig, Then click restore data...

No, otherwise I have not told you to have a look at this thread :) The user backup does not contain any configuration data.

I think he means can you rebuild your server with ispconfig and then import the backups into it if you are restoring the same server with the same ip?

That is exactly what i mean.
Does this make a difference or do i still follow the steps in the other thread??

I'd like to know too.
I have backups, but I'm not sure what I have to do if something goes wrong and I have to restore them.
Another option might be a backup image--let me know if you find a good solution for that.
