fail2ban and lighttpd

Does anyone know if fail2ban will work with lighttpd's error.log file in the same manner as it works with apache's error.log file? I followed the how-to for debian & fail2ban but I'm not using apache.

As long as lightppd logs to a file, you can use fail2ban for it. You might have to adjust fail2ban's rules though.
