i've installed Fedora Core 4 on my laptop:

partitioning: 20GB ext3 - 700MB swapspace (at the end of a previously FAT32 drive)

the problem is that after install (tried with different packets and minimum install didin't work) the system hangs on the first boot when:

"Starting PCMCIA card services"

hardware:
Texas Instruments PCIxx21/x515 Cardbus Controller
Texas Instruments PCIxx21 Integrated FlashMedia Controller

anyone that knows how to solve this?
i don't care if can't use the card readers...

When you boot your system, you should have the choice between a "normal" boot and a failsafe boot. Try to use the failsafe mode to see if the system comes up.
