problem for accessing created sites

hi !

I've recently set up my a debian sarge on my PC. I've followed the conf suggested on the website.

The problem that occurs is that i can't access the sites created by users.

How should I set up sites correctly to access them with such an URL as :

http://user_site.mydomain.com or http://mydomain.com/~user_site :confused:

I've looked for this information but everything i tried failed. :mad:

Add a site "mydomain.com". Then add a user, e.g. web1_username. You can then reach the user website with:

http://mydomain.com/~web1_username/ or http://www.mydomain.com/users/web1_username

If this does not work, please check if you have mod_rewrite instaled and enabled in your apache configuration.
