I removed the site I had created in ispconfig. I then tried to recreate the same site. It told me the name www.mysite_i_created.com is already in use by another site or domain. I went into var>www and rm the site. It still did not work. Was I supposed to remove the web1 as well? Thanks for the help.
P.S. or dose the server need to rebooted so the chages can take place?

Thas a bad idea, do not do that! And do not delete web1 manually.

Juste mpty the recycle bin in the ISPConfig interface to remove the site.

No, you never have to reboot your linux server except if you installed a new kernel.
