I changed the external IP address, re-installed ISPConfig, got the congratulations message, but https://server1.mydomain.com:81 doesn't work.

Any ideas?

Does server1.mydomain.com's DNS record point to the new IP address?

Have you tried https://<new IP address>:81 instead? Does it work?
