Hi!

I want to move an ISPCONFIG-Installation with all user-files, databases, mails,... from one server to another. How do I do that?
- Copy the web* - folders
- Dump all databases and insert them at the new server
- Copy configurations (/etc/groups, bind-configurations, what else?)

Thanks in advance
Bruce

First, you have to make sure that you use the same distribution on both servers, otherwise the move will become a mess.

Then copy /root/ispconfig, /home/admispconfig, your web sites, your MySQL databases and all your configuration files (Postfix, FTP, Bind, Apache) to your new server. Also copy /etc/passwd, /etc/shadow, /etc/group,...

Have you thought about using SystemImager? http://www.howtoforge.com/howto_linux_systemimager
