Mount ISPConfig for tomcat hosting

Hi guys,
We need to integrate tomcat hosting for our server.It's already automated with ISPConfig.It seems to be difficult because we ispconfig is always override config file in apache.(For the mechanism we rae going to connect tomcat to apache via mod_jk)

We like to know is there way to do some developments on ISPConfig to convert it for supporting java hosting on tomcat.Also the technical background will be helpful.

The problem is that none of the ISPConfig developers has profound experiences with Tomcat...
