Questions about Suexec & Firewall

I just have two quick questions. In the ISPConfig cp, under Management -> Settings -> web, there is a Suexec checkbox. What is the function of Suexec?

Also in the services section. it states that the firewall is on. ISPConfig comes with its own firewall? Or do I still need to add one.

ISPConfig comes with the bastille firewall which is a script for iptables. So you dont need an additional firewall.
