File System Troubles : Read Only Errors

A few days ago, all of a sudden my file system became read only all on its own. Im trying to figure out how to change it back. So I can continue to use the server as it is. Id hate to loose the data on the computer, There are 5 clients for hosting and about 300 ISP clients email addresses.

When I reboot the server I get read only errors, so none of the services will start, when I get to the logon promt, I can log in as Root no problem, but I cant even use the mail command. when I try the 'mount' command, It tells me that the file systems are all mounted RW, but I get all these RO errors when booting, when shutting down, and when using the system. any Ideas?

This happens when your harddrive contains errors that can not be repaired automatically. Please try to repair your harddisk with the fsck command for your filesystem type. Make sure that you backup everything before you try fsck.

Iv fsck'ed and I still get the same errors.

So it seems to be a hard disk failure...
