cannot find config.m4

It is a problem installing "pecl install imagick". it returns

Cannot find config.m4.
Make sure that you run '/Applications/MAMP/bin/php5/bin/phpize' in the top level source directory of the module

to work around:

cd /usr

 wget http://pear.php.net/go-pear.phar

 php go-pear.phar

 pecl install imagick
